The community chalet
What is ‘Christmas in Solidarity’?
Every week, a new charity takes up residence in the charity chalet at the Paris La Défense Christmas market.
The aim? To raise awareness amongst visitors, publicise their commitment and raise funds through the sale of handcrafted, ethical or socially responsible products.
Why visit the community chalet?
-
To discover a new charity every week
-
For socially responsible Christmas shopping
-
To support local and international causes
-
To enjoy a moment of togetherness and conviviality
Craftsmanship, commitment and human connections
Handmade products with a meaningful purpose
The organisations taking part offer unique creations: handcrafted items, Christmas decorations, local delicacies, textiles, jewellery and much more besides. Every purchase directly supports a local or international cause.
Engage with those who are taking action
Volunteers and members of the organisations are on hand all week, from Monday to Sunday, during the same opening hours as the Christmas market. They talk about their work, their activities and their projects with warmth and passion.
The organizations present at the community chalet

The Société Protectrice des Animaux (SPA) has always championed the cause of animals. Stop by their booth to meet passionate volunteers, learn about animals you can sponsor, and discover the different ways you can help—adoption, donations, volunteering, and more. Because Christmas is a celebration for them, too.

Firdaous Charity supports families in need, both in France and abroad, through fundraisers, humanitarian efforts, and educational projects. Their commitment is rooted in kindness and sharing. Come talk with them to learn how you, too, can make a difference.
Tafouk
Monday, December 21 through Sunday, December 27
Tafouk works to promote education, solidarity, and development in Morocco. Through their on-the-ground projects, they help provide better living and learning conditions for children.
